A BRIEF PROFILE OF EZEIBE, ANDERSON UMEZURIKE

A). Born to the royal  Ezeibe family of Umuaku - Isuochi, Umunneochi Local Government Area of Abia State. He had his education at:

1). Ikenegbu Layout Primary School Owerri

2). Government Secondary School Owerri

3). Federal University of Technology, Owerri where he obtained degrees in Industrial Chemistry; and Analytical Chemistry.

1. He is employed as a Lecturer/ Researcher at the Department of Chemistry Federal Polytechnic Nekede where he has progressively risen through the ranks to the position of a Chief Lecturer. He has held the following positions amongst others in the Polytechnic.
2. Head, Chemistry Department (2018 – 2020)
3. Deputy Director, Academic Planning and Quality Assurance Directorate (2010 to 2018)

 

1. He has to his credit published research articles and conference papers presented at both international and local intellectual meetings. He also belongs to the following professional bodies:

     i) Chemical Society of Nigeria (Fellow elect)

    ii) Institute of Chartered Chemists of Nigeria (ICCON)

    iii) Canadian Society of Chemistry

    iv) Nigeria Institute of Science Laboratory Technology.

    v) Occupational Safety and Health Association, UK (Fellow)

 

1. He has been involved in service at the National level
2. Member, Presidential Committee on NEEDS ASSESSMENT of Public Polytechnics (2014)
3. Member, Standing Committee on Research and Development, Tertiary Education Trust Fund (2021)
4. Member, Presidential Implementation and Monitoring Committee on NEEDS ASSESSMENT of Public Polytechnics (2022)
5. National President, Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (2019 till Date)

 

E) He is a recipient of several awards of excellence/recognition for services from faith based organisations, community based organisations as well as civil society groups. He has received two service awards from the Federal Polytechnic Nekede.

 

F) He is happily married to Dr.Ezinwanne Ezeibe ;an avid football follower;and strong believer in family values.
