Dr. Charles Chukwudi Elvis Obichere is The Polytechnic Librarian of Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Owerri. He obtained Bachelor of Library Science(BLS) from Abia State University, Uturu, Master in Library and Information Science, Imo State University, Owerri and Ph.D in Library and Information Science also from IMSU. He is the immediate past Public Relations Officer of Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Former HOD, Readers and Bibliographic Services of the Library respectively for many years. He has also been Chairman and Secretary of many Committees of both Management and ASUP Nekede Chapter.

Dr Charles Obichere is a Principal Officer and Management Staff of The Federal Polytechnic Nekede. He is also a BOT Member of the LMSRC.

He has received Two Merit Awards in the Polytechnic for Outstanding Performance and Excellence from the Polytechnic Management. He also received numerous awards from the Youths of Owerri North L.G. A, IMO State, Parishes and Organizations in the Catholic Archdiocese of Owerri.He is a Chartered Librarian(CLN)and a Jerusalem Pilgrim (JP).

Dr Charles Obichere is from Awaka in Owerri North L. G. A of Imo State. He is married to Dr. Mrs. Ngozi.U. Obichere and they have four children.
